Connect Google Ads to Claude
Claude reads and manages your Google Ads account once you've added Adlyko as a custom connector. You paste one server URL into the settings, sign in with the same Google account you signed up with, and from then on the Google Ads tools are available in every conversation where you switch the connector on. You ask in plain language what's happening in your account, and Claude pulls the numbers straight from Google instead of guessing.
- Where you set it up
- Settings, the Connectors section, Add custom connector
- Works in
- claude.ai in your browser and Claude Desktop
- Plan
- Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Free has room for one connector
- What you need
- Your Google account and Adlyko's server URL
Add Adlyko in five steps
- 1
Sign up for Adlyko
Sign in with the Google account you use to manage your Google Ads. You get access right away and there's nothing to install.
- 2
Open the connector settings in Claude
In Claude, go to your settings and then to Connectors. Click the plus and choose Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an owner does this once in the organization settings, after which you see the connector in your own list with a button to connect.
- 3
Paste Adlyko's server URL
Name the connector Adlyko and put this URL in the server field. Leave the fields for your own OAuth credentials empty, because Adlyko handles the sign-in itself.
https://mcp.adlyko.com/mcp - 4
Sign in with the same Google account
Claude opens a Google sign-in as soon as you connect. Choose the account you signed up to Adlyko with, because your access is tied to it.
- 5
Switch the connector on in your conversation
Open a new conversation, click the plus next to the input field, go to Connectors and check Adlyko. This is the step people skip most often: if the connector is off, Claude knows nothing about your account.
Your first question
Start with something you don't know the answer to. Claude can work out for itself which data it needs, so you don't have to name reports or metrics.
Look at my Google Ads for the last thirty days. Which search terms cost money without producing a single conversion, and which campaign is running into its budget?
Suggest a list of negative keywords based on what you just found. Explain for each one why it can go, and only make the change once I say yes.
Where Claude really shines is the conversation that follows. Dig into one campaign, have it pull the difference with last month, or ask for ad copy based on the search terms that do convert. Everything stays in the same conversation, so it doesn't have to get to know your account again each time.
What to know about Claude
- The connector isn't automatically on in a new conversation. That's Claude's choice, not an Adlyko setting, and it's why the tools sometimes seem to disappear.
- On Team and Enterprise only an owner can create a custom connector. If you don't see a button to add one, ask your admin and point them to the organization settings.
- Claude Desktop and claude.ai share the same connectors. So you set it up once and it works in both.
- Prefer working in a terminal? Then you use the same account with a different command. That's covered in Manage Google Ads from Claude Code.
If it doesn't work
- Claude doesn't mention a single Google Ads tool in my conversation
- The connector is switched on or off per conversation. Click the plus next to the input field, go to Connectors and check Adlyko. A conversation you started earlier doesn't pick up that change retroactively, so start a new conversation if needed.
- Claude says my account isn't recognized
- Then you signed in at the Google login with a different account than the one you signed up to Adlyko with. Google remembers in your browser which account you used last. Disconnect the connector, connect again and explicitly choose the right account on the selection screen.
- Does this work on a free Claude account?
- Yes. Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A free account has room for one connector, so Adlyko has to be the connector you want to use.
- Can Claude change something in my account without me knowing?
- Adlyko puts a change to you first and only makes it once you say yes. New campaigns are also always created paused, so nothing ever goes live without you switching it on yourself.
No Adlyko account yet?
Signing up costs nothing and you connect your first Google Ads account right away. Want to see first what there is to gain in your account? Then run the free audit. What the paid layer costs is on the pricing page.
Same URL, a different agent
The server URL doesn't change when you switch agents. Only the place where you enter it is different. What connecting involves is explained on the overview page about connecting Adlyko.
- ChatConnect Google Ads to ChatGPTA custom connector in the web version, switched on per conversation.
- TerminalManage Google Ads from Claude CodeOne command in your terminal, and your account sits next to your code and your files.
- ChatConnect Google Ads to PerplexityA custom remote connector, so your account data sits next to your research.
- EditorConnect Google Ads to CursorOne line in mcp.json, so your landing page and your campaigns share one window.
- WorkflowRun Google Ads from n8nThe MCP node under your AI Agent, for work that has to run on its own at a set time.
