Google Ads audit: get your account checked for free
Start your audit
Next, you choose through Google which account we may look at.
A Google Ads audit is a systematic check of your ad account: where money leaks, where reach is left on the table and whether your tracking still adds up. You don't get an opinion but a list of concrete points and what they cost you. This audit reads your real account and within two minutes gives you a score from 0 to 100, estimated monthly savings in euros and the findings per campaign. Free, without creating an account. During an audit we only read and change nothing.

What does a Google Ads audit check?
12 kinds of checks on your own account, across all your campaigns: Search, Shopping and Performance Max. The amounts cover your last 30 days; the rest is about how your account looks today. Anything paused doesn't count: an old keyword you already switched off is no longer a problem, and it would only make the picture gloomier than it is.
Campaigns that Google says aren't serving
Google itself tracks why each campaign is standing still: an empty budget, a disapproved ad, a missing payment method. We read that reason and translate it into plain language, for every campaign type.
Products that can't serve
For a webshop we check how many of your products are actually eligible to show, with the reason. A feed that looks approved can still be standing still without Google warning you.
Performance Max asset groups
Whether your asset groups are strong enough, whether Google has disapproved one, and whether a retail campaign actually has a product group. Without that group, such a campaign can't advertise a single product.
Wasted search terms and keywords
Search terms that money goes to without ever producing a conversion, plus keywords that rack up costs without results. Their total is exactly the estimated savings you get back.
Keywords bidding against themselves
When the same keyword sits in several ad groups, your own ads end up in the same auction against each other. The audit names which combinations those are and how many groups they're in.
Lost impression share
What percentage of impressions you're missing, and why. A budget that's too tight and an ad rank that's too low are two different problems with two different fixes, so they're reported separately.
Quality Scores
The average Quality Score per campaign and how many keywords sit below 6. Only active keywords count, because paused keywords would drag the average down for a problem you've already solved.
Bid strategy versus your conversion volume
A smart bidding strategy needs conversions to steer on. With a handful of conversions a month the algorithm has too little signal, and then a different strategy often does better.
Conversion tracking
Whether a conversion action is set up, whether it counts the right thing, and whether it carries a value. Without a value, Google knows something happened but not what it was worth, so it can't steer on value either.
Ad extensions
Sitelinks, callouts and structured snippets. They cost nothing extra and take up space in the search results, and they're missing remarkably often.
Ads per ad group
Too few ads or too few headlines means Google has less to combine. Here too, only what's actually switched on counts: an ad in a paused ad group isn't an active ad.
Bids per device
Whether mobile, desktop and tablet drift apart in cost per conversion, and whether your bids follow that difference or work against it.
Why this audit reads your real account
Most free Google Ads audits are a form. You fill in your details, someone schedules time for it, and a few days later you get a document back with recommendations that would fit almost any account. Often it's mainly a reason for a sales call.
This audit works differently. You connect your Google account, we pull your advertising numbers and the analysis runs right away. There's no person in between who first has to free up time. And nothing in the report comes from anywhere but your own numbers: the campaign names, the amounts and the percentages are yours.
That's why it has amounts in it. Not "keep an eye on your search terms", but which search term cost how many euros without ever producing a conversion, and in which campaign that's happening.
A form audit
- ·You fill in what you already know
- ·Results within a few days
- ·Recommendations that fit any account
- ·No amounts, because there's no data
This audit
- ✓You connect your account, we read the numbers
- ✓Results within two minutes
- ✓Findings with your campaign names
- ✓Estimated monthly savings in euros
What do you get back, and how fast?
Three things, about two minutes after you connect your account.
A score from 0 to 100. It's an estimate, not a measurement, and that's how it's labeled above your report too. It's built from the checks above, weighted by how serious a problem is and how many campaigns it affects. So two accounts with the same score can have very different problems. The score is there to show whether it's urgent.
Estimated monthly savings. This isn't a model's guess but the total amount now going to search terms and keywords that bring in nothing. You're already spending that money today.
The findings themselves, each with its category, impact level, the campaign it applies to and what to do about it. Findings that say the same thing in several campaigns are merged into one line with the number of campaigns, so an account with thirty campaigns doesn't produce the same point thirty times.
On the results page you immediately see three findings in full, each from a different category, plus the total number of points and how many of them have high impact. We send the complete report as a PDF to your inbox as soon as you create a free account.

Estimated score, based on the checks on your account
62% of impressions lost to bid and ad rank
Improve ad relevance and the landing page, or raise the bid. This reach is going to a competitor right now.
18 keywords sit in several ad groups at once and bid against themselves
Consolidate into the best-performing ad group, or make the search intent of each group deliberately different.
Your conversion action has no value, so return on ad spend can't be calculated
Give the lead an estimated value, so the bid strategy can steer on revenue instead of counts.

How often should you run a Google Ads audit?
A useful rule of thumb is every quarter, and monthly once you spend more than a few thousand euros a month. Not because an account gets worse on its own, but because the world around it changes. Search terms come in that you never thought of, competitors adjust their bids, and Google switches new features on by default.
More important than the interval are the moments. Run an audit after launching a new campaign, after a budget increase, after a change to your website that affects your conversion tracking, and after someone else has worked in the account. Google Ads spends money every day while you look at it weekly at best, so a mistake doesn't cost you one click, it costs every day until someone notices it.
You can run the audit again later, also for another Google Ads account.
Can I do a Google Ads audit myself?
Yes, and it helps to know where you'd look. Broadly: the search terms report for the last 30 to 90 days filtered on cost without conversions, the columns for impression share lost to budget and to rank, the Quality Score columns at keyword level, the overview of your conversion actions including value, and per ad group whether the extensions and number of ads are in order.
The work isn't in understanding it, it's in pulling it together. You open five reports, export them, put them side by side and write down what comes out. For one account that's easily half a day, and a month later the picture is out of date again. That exact part is automated here.
What does a Google Ads audit cost?
This one costs nothing. You don't have to create an account, there's no payment screen and nobody calls you unasked.
Elsewhere it varies. An agency often does an audit as an introduction, after which the proposal is a monthly fee for management. Standalone audits are also sold as a one-off job, and the price mostly depends on how many hours someone puts in.
If you want your own AI agent to work through these points with you after the audit, the pricing per Google Ads account shows what Adlyko costs from then on. For the audit itself you don't need to know any of that.
What do we do with your Google access?
During an audit we only read. Nothing gets created, changed or paused. Your campaigns, budgets, keywords and ads stay exactly as they were.
You connect with your own Google account, so you never have to share a password. You can revoke the access at any time in your Google account's security settings.
Which data we keep, why and for how long is in Adlyko's privacy policy. Questions? Email us at hi@adlyko.com.
Frequently asked questions about the Google Ads audit
- How long does a Google Ads audit take?
- About two minutes. You fill in your details, connect your Google account and, if you have several accounts, choose which one we may look at. Then the analysis runs live on your own numbers and you watch the report appear on screen.
- Do I need to create an account for the free audit?
- No. The audit is separate from signing up. You only create an Adlyko account if you want the full report as a PDF in your inbox, and that's free too.
- Does the audit work with an MCC or with several accounts?
- Yes. If your Google account has access to several Google Ads accounts, we show the list and you pick one. You can run the audit again later for another account.
- Can Adlyko change anything in my account during the audit?
- No. During an audit we only read. No function is called that creates, changes or pauses anything, so your campaigns, budgets and keywords stay exactly as they were.
- What if my account has only just started?
- Then the audit won't find much. With a few days of traffic there's simply too little data to see waste or a pattern. Once an account has been running for a few weeks, the picture becomes useful.
- What happens to my data after the audit?
- We keep your contact details and the findings of your report, so you can find it again later and we can answer your question. Exactly which data that is, and how to have it deleted, is in our privacy policy. You can also revoke your Google access yourself at any time in your Google account's security settings.
